Buy espresso at Aromatico
In addition to classics from Italy such as espresso from Pellini, Barbera and Lucaffé, Aromatico has a large range of German espressos. Espressos from the small but fine German brands Propeller by five Elephant, 19grams and Kalle Coffee Roasters are very popular with our customers thanks to their taste. Every now and then it's a matter of finding little gems among the roasters, trying something new and simply ordering an unknown espresso.
An espresso made from 100% Arabica, 100% Robusta or would you prefer a blend?
For espresso, the coffee beans are roasted for longer, up to 20 minutes. This not only makes espresso beans darker, they also become more aromatic and contain optimally broken down bitter and tannin substances. For espresso preparation on a portafilter machine, a blend with a high proportion of Robusta beans is advantageous, as this determines the consistency of the crema. In other words, the higher the proportion of Robusta beans in an espresso blend, the more popular it is for preparation on a portafilter machine. But be careful, this type of bean underlines the harmonious bitterness of the espresso. It also affects the caffeine content in the cup. For example, this is much higher in a 100% Robusta espresso than in a 100% Arabica espresso roast. The best thing to do is to try out the classic espresso blends and buy an espresso with 80% Arabica and 20% Robusta beans, as well as one with 70% Arabica and 30% Robusta.
Depending on which one you prefer, you can continue in that direction, because the selection is huge and you need to find out your own taste preferences. Buy espresso coffee - the caffeine express
We have now clarified that the caffeine content is somewhat higher in a blend with a lot of Robusta. But how does it generally compare to the caffeine content in classic filter coffee beans? A simple espresso with a cup of around 25 ml contains around 30 mg of caffeine. A cup of filter coffee with a cup of around 125 ml contains 100 mg of caffeine. This means that the basic caffeine content of espresso is higher (120 mg/100 ml), but you drink far less espresso than filter coffee in one go (80 mg/100 ml). If you want a little more, drink an Espresso Doppio, which consists of twice as many espresso beans and twice the amount of water.
So try out the Aromatico range in the espresso shop without worry and discover your favorite blend, which you can enjoy neat or with milk foam as a cappuccino or latte macchiato. Buy an espresso roast for your espresso machine, fully automatic machine or moka pot. For every type of preparation, whether as whole beans or coffee powder, we have put together great sample packages that characterize our variety in the Aromatico online shop.
