Optimal environmental conditions

The Arabica beans for the Ethiopian Guij from Wild Coffee come from the Uraga and Oromia growing areas. There, a large number of farming families cultivate coffee bushes on small plots of around one hectare each. The coffee cherries of the Bourbon variety for the Ethiopian Guij are grown at altitudes of around 2,200 m. There, the coffee bushes grow under shady trees at average temperatures of 28 °C during the day and 15 °C at night.

Fruity and Floral

The growing regions of Uraga and Oromia are home and livelihood for a total of around 400 farming families. After the harvest, the beans are wet processed and roasted to a medium strength by wild coffee. This gives the beans their wonderful aroma. The taste of Ethiopia Guij is fruity and floral, characterized by notes of stone fruit.
