Real Espresso at Home

Portafilter machines are built for making espresso. It is crucial that the water in the sieve encounters resistance, so that around nine bar of pressure is created at which the espresso is extracted. The result is a strong drink with around two to three times the amount of powder used as the drink in the cup. The high pressure also creates the hazelnut-brown layer of foam on the surface, the so-called crema. The BEEM ESPRESSO-SELECT does everything it takes to make espresso. Thanks to the double-walled pressure sieves, the machine is insensitive to the degree of grinding or the exact amount. This is particularly recommended for beginners who do not use an expensive grinder or weigh each portion precisely. Instead, the ESPRESSO-SELECT also forgives the use of pre-ground espresso and always delivers an attractive crema.

The BEEM ESPRESSO-SELECT is extremely easy to use. When the tank is full, the machine is ready for use after switching it on as soon as the indicator light with the cup symbol lights up continuously. As soon as this is the case, the espresso dispensing button with the cup symbol can be used to start and stop the dispensing of espresso. To switch to steam mode, the steam button must be pressed. The machine then heats up to a higher temperature so that steam flows out of the steam wand instead of water. The thermometer gives an overview of the temperature when dispensing espresso. The area on the top of the machine can be used to preheat or keep cups warm. The locking function of the sieve inserts is a particularly clever solution so that they do not fall out when you tap the coffee. There is also a float built into the drip tray that indicates when the tray is full.
