For the Colombia, Wild Coffee uses Arabica beans of the Caturra and Colombia varieties. The coffee cherries come from the Narià±o region, on the border with Ecuador, where the coffee is cultivated by a group of small farming families at an altitude of 2,200 m. After harvesting, the coffee cherries are washed, processed and then sun-dried.
During wet processing, the coffee cherries are first removed from the pulp. They are then stored in water tanks so that even the last remnants of pulp are removed. After a second pass with fresh water, the beans are dried in the sun, turning them several times. Wild coffee refines the Arabica beans with a medium degree of roasting. This ensures the sweet, creamy taste with notes of brittle.
