The coffee beans are grown under controlled organic conditions by a large number of small farmers on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. Through dry processing with sunlight, the coffee beans absorb flavor components from the pulp and the earth. The result is a low-acid coffee with a powerful fullness and a concentrated, earthy-sweet aroma as well as spicy notes of cinnamon and tropical woods. Since the quality in Sumatra varies due to the many different small farmers, Vee only offers this coffee if they manage to buy first-class quality.
