Strong roast

The Espresso Blend from Hoppenworth & Ploch is a classic espresso roast, which consists of a mixture of 60% Arabica beans and 40% Robusta beans. Thanks to the careful selection of the green coffees and the dark roast, the Espresso Blend develops a traditional taste profile. In the cup, there are distinctive roasted aromas that are reminiscent of dark chocolate. There are also floral nuances with only a slight acidity. Thanks to the dark roast and the Robusta content, a thick crema is created when brewed, which makes the espresso heart beat faster.

Great trio

The Frankfurt roastery Hoppenworth & Ploch chose three unique green coffees for the espresso blend. A dry-processed Arabica coffee from Brazil serves as a solid foundation. The Brazilian Arabica beans give the espresso classic aromas. The Robusta beans used come from India, more precisely from the Elk Hill plantation in Kerala. They give the blend a particularly full body, a very rich crema, spicy aromas and, last but not least, a slightly higher caffeine content than pure Arabica coffees. The blend is rounded off by washed Arabica coffee beans from Guatemala. The beans from the Santa Isabel Farm give the blend floral notes, which make the espresso a unique composition. The whole beans can be freshly ground for preparation in a portafilter or used in a fully automatic machine. Various preparations can also be easily achieved in a stovetop pot, an Ibrik or Cezve or an AeroPress.
