coffee blends according to craftsmanship
At de koffiemann, traditional, artisanal roasting is still practiced. The coffee beans are slowly and gently processed into delicious blends during a long-term roasting process in a small drum roaster. Each coffee blend is treated individually, because the roastery's job is to shape the character of the blends, while the growing area with the corresponding climate creates the basis for the personality of the coffee blend. This is the only way to create the unmistakable taste of each individual blend. Thanks to the long-term roasting process lasting 12-15 minutes, well over 800 aromatic substances can develop. Excess bitter substances are also removed from the beans in this way. Lovers of a full and intense aroma will get their money's worth with the "MEIN ESPRESSO" blend. Coffee fans of a mild 100% Arabica blend from Brazil and Honduras will hit the jackpot with the "MEIN MILDER".
Care from cultivation to sale
De koffiemann only uses fairly traded coffee beans from 19 selected growing regions. Some blends also carry the organic seal for ecologically grown coffee beans. The roastery is committed to supporting six social projects in the local growing regions with its proceeds.
How it all began
Helmut Dotschat, who began his career in the coffee business as a green coffee importer, finally dared to set up his own roasting company in 2009. From the very beginning, the motivation behind this was to roast high-quality coffee that was, above all, fairly traded. Today, his daughter Cornelia Dotschat runs the family business - the coffee roasting company de koffiemann GmbH.
