Bonomi

Milan is considered the birthplace of espresso. Today, this city is the Italian economic engine and trendsetter. In the international environment, MILAN is asserting itself as an urbanized center for lifestyle and coffee culture. Espresso, the little black coffee and Italy's international star, was created by Luigi Bezzera. With the aim of creating a high-quality, delicious coffee that could also be prepared quickly, the Milanese submitted his patent for the first espresso machine, the "Tipo Gigante", on November 19, 1901.

The Bonomi roastery

This legacy of espresso culture is a commitment. Starting out as a greengrocer in Via Fabbri, Frederico Bonomi soon pursued his passion for coffee and founded his roasting company in 1886 in Conca del Naviglio, not far from the center of Milan. Here he developed his coffee blends and roasting profiles and laid the foundation for today's company philosophy. The values of quality, sustainability and working together as equals are lived out every day at Bonomi.
