With the extraordinary Illy creations of the Arabica Selection range, you can enjoy various characteristic espresso beans with very special taste profiles based on their region of origin. The Illy Arabica Selection Brasile impresses with an intense aroma that is characterized by distinctive caramel notes and is perfected by the special roasting profile.
The Arabica Selection Brasile beans can be used to prepare an espresso that is velvety, full-bodied and intense. It offers a pleasantly strong and at the same time soft body. The special roasting profile of this creation creates distinctive caramel notes accompanied by a hint of hazelnut. Light notes of toasted bread can also be tasted. The beans are roasted in Italy and are ideal for preparation in a fully automatic coffee machine or a portafilter machine.
The 100% Arabica beans of the Illy Arabica Selection Brasile come from the high plateaus of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. The Cerrado Mineiro in the north offers an enormous variety of exotic plants and animals, while the Sul de Minas in the south is known for its beautiful nature and landscape, as well as the particularly high quality of its coffee. The climate in these areas is characterized by strong rainy and dry seasons and is ideal for growing coffee.
Illy was founded in 1933 by Francesco Illy, an inventor and visionary whose achievements included the preservation of roasted coffee. The coffee cans he invented were exported to many countries at the time. His son Ernesto Illy joined the company in the late 1940s and had the idea of selling the coffee cans to consumers. Thus, the smaller portions of coffee were born. The Illy company quickly became one of the most important coffee manufacturers. Today, the Italian company sells its coffee in over 140 countries and has also made it onto the list of the Most Ethical Companies in the World several times.
