The special thing about this filter is its sophisticated and well thought-out design, which not only appeals to the eye, but also to the palate.

Sophisticated design for the perfect coffee enjoyment
A characteristic feature of the ceramic dripper is that it stores heat particularly well. The conical shape of the filter with a 60 degree inclination angle, which is steeper than with conventional hand filters, creates a thicker layer of coffee, giving the coffee more depth.
What also distinguishes the Hario V60 from conventional hand filters is its single, but larger, bottom opening. This allows you to enjoy an unhindered flow of coffee during preparation, which also has a higher throughput speed.
The curved grooves on the inside of the filter ensure consistent water circulation and constant movement of the coffee during brewing thanks to their shape and wide gaps. They also ensure that the filter paper is kept away from the wall of the dripper to guarantee maximum aroma development of the coffee.
This thoughtful design of the filter results in an optimized throughput time and the best possible extraction of the coffee, so that you can enjoy a clear, aromatic coffee.

However, due to the singular bottom opening, the pressure on the inserted filter also increases, which is why it is recommended to use strong filters.

Coffee preparation with the Hario V60
To make excellent coffee, you first need high-quality, freshly ground coffee, a filter, a cup and a measuring spoon. Place the filter in the V60 Dripper, place it on your favorite cup or pot, fill the dripper with the amount of coffee of your choice and let the hot water run over the coffee grounds. The extraction process only takes 3 - 4 minutes and you can enjoy excellent pour over coffee.
Another advantage of the V60 Dripper is that it is easy to clean. After use, you can dispose of the filter and coffee grounds as usual, while the V60 can be cleaned under running water or in the dishwasher.
