This bundle is a real treat for true espresso fans. The coordinated duo of the ECM Puristika and the ECM C-Manuale 54 not only looks particularly good, it also impresses with its focus on a simple workflow and the production of really good espresso, as well as the high quality typical of ECM. In addition to the portafilter machine and grinder, a tamper and a knock-off box are included in the bundle, perfectly matched by ECM.
Simply real espresso enjoyment
The ECM Puristika is, as the name suggests, an espresso machine for purists. The single-circuit portafilter machine with PID control is designed to prepare the perfect espresso - nothing more and nothing less. The Puristika is equipped with the legendary Faema E61 brewing group, but not with a thermosiphon. Unlike dual-circuit machines with such a system, where the temperature of the water for the espresso always depends on the interaction with the steam temperature for frothing the milk, the Puristika deliberately does not have a steam function in order to make espresso without compromise. This makes the ECM Puristika particularly suitable for all coffee fans who usually drink their espresso neat or who froth the milk in another way for cappuccino, latte macchiato, etc. The Puristika offers impressive features for making espresso: the temperature in the boiler can be precisely adjusted using the PID control and where other machines have a rotary dial for the steam, the Puristika has an expansion valve and thus the maximum pressure for making espresso that can be adjusted between 8.5 and 12 bar at any time. As a special eye-catcher, the glass water tank is housed outside the machine and stands freely next to the particularly slim machine with hoses attached.
The perfect grinder for the machine
Freshly grinding the beans is essential for preparing real espresso, but pre-ground espresso has no place in a machine like the ECM Puristika. No grinder fits better into the overall concept of the bundle than the ECM C-Manuale 54. On the one hand, with its anthracite cladding, it fits perfectly with the Puristika visually. On the other hand, the C-Manuale 54 is also really good at what really matters and is free of unnecessary frills. The on-demand grinder simply grinds as long as the contact rocker is pressed by the portafilter. The grinding level is extremely easy to set and find again later thanks to the generous scale, which is locked with a lever. The high-quality workmanship and simple technical structure of the grinder make it a loyal companion for the portafilter machine.
Get started right away with the right accessories
In addition to the portafilter machine and the grinder, other accessories from ECM are included so you can start preparing espresso straight away. The high-quality tamper with a black handle and a decent weight of 400 grams fits perfectly into the standard sieve of the Puristika and makes it easier to press the coffee grounds into the sieve. To dispose of the used espresso puck after use, a knock box is included, also from ECM, of course. The stainless steel container always stays in place because the bottom is rubberized to prevent slipping. The bar on which the portafilter is struck to remove the puck is also covered with rubber to minimize unpleasant noise.
