Safe tamping

Tamping is an important step in the preparation of espresso. The evenly powerful and vertical compaction of the ground coffee ensures reproducibly good results. The matching tamping mat from COYOOCO ensures the necessary safety when tamping and protects both the portafilter and the worktop. The non-slip properties of the silicone prevent slipping on the smooth worktop. With a depth of 15 cm and a width of 20 cm, the tamper mat offers enough space for comfortable tamping and does not take up unnecessary space on the worktop. The angled shape with 2 cm lowered edge protection ensures that the tamping mat stays firmly in place. On the other hand, the silicone also protects the edge of the worktop from signs of wear. The mat also conveniently catches the small amounts of ground coffee that fall down when tamping. The tamping mat can be easily tapped over the sink, for example, and wiped with a damp cloth to remove any residue. A recessed circle serves as a safe place for the tamper.
