The origins of the roastery

It was in the early 1980s when the couple Michele Mastromartino and Carmela Motta founded a small roasting plant in Melfi, producing coffee beans and ground coffee using a few machines and a wood roaster. A short time later, with the expansion of other commercial activities, they decided to sell the plant and open a new roasting plant in Salerno called Caffè Motta. In 2006, Nicola Mastromartino, the eldest son and a lover of roasted coffee since his youth, took over the management of the roasting plant. He planned to make the aroma and taste of coffee known throughout Italy and to start the export trade. In 2015 he built a new production plant to modernize the roasting plant, which was now at full capacity. Completed in 2019, the new plant covers an area of 12,000 square meters and has a significantly increased production capacity.

Every day, Caffè Motta works to offer customers the best blends and the taste experience they expect from a moment of rest, conviviality and good humor. The freshness, the maturation of the beans and the certified origin: every single step is controlled by experts, some of whom have been working passionately at Caffè Motta for over thirty years. The new factory and the redesign of the packaging, presented in 2018, make the company much more competitive today and ready to further intensify its presence abroad.

The Aromatico company was founded in Mainburg in 2006 and moved to the coffee city of Bremen in the summer of 2016. Since then, new ideas have been emerging in Bremen's Überseestadt with Italian-influenced roasting plants. In search of new taste experiences, we create unique coffee compositions with the highest quality standards - exclusively for the Aromatico range - in long-term collaboration. Each creation is accompanied step by step and developed with attention to detail. The finest selection of high-quality green coffees, a traditional, single-origin roast and the mixture of special blends give rise to Aromatico's creations - expertise that can be tasted in the cup.

The particular roasting processes, combined with careful blending and packaging processes, further enhanced by the use of latest generation systems, aim to produce a unique quality product, Made in Italy. Monitoring according to strict international standards of each individual product in the production chain certifies compliance with hygiene, safety and food quality regulations.
